DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs

Hi folks, Today I will be speaking on the DJ Mag’s top 100 DJs in the world. DJ magazine popularly known as the DJ Mag, a monthly British magazine which was dedicated only to the Electronic Dance Music and the DJs was founded on the 31st of January 1991.This magazine publishes 2 annual lists, one for the top 100 DJs and one for the top 100 night clubs from all over the world apart from other hot news.

Since 2010 both these polls started following the concept of the hit show “American Idol” i.e. based on public vote where Trackitdown.net collaborated with the DJ poll to pull in the votes. This massively hyped Poll attracts nearly 350,000 votes and 10,000,000 views from all over world.

The award parties for the top 100 DJs this year were held in Amsterdam and London wherein the newly crowned DJ flying between the two by a private jet to play at both venues. Ain’t that awesome!?? To add to it DJ Mag will be hosting around 5 parties in the U.S. Anyone Stateside should seriously try to make the effort to attend one of these parties they are always seriously off the chain.

DJ Mag announced their results on the 18th of October. Hardwell emerged victorious taking the #1 spot for the 2nd year in a row. The new DJs to watch out for are Martin Garrix, Deorro and Chainsmokers. The link to the official DJ Mag top 100 DJs is http://www.djmag.com/top-100-djs . Please do check it out.

Some of the EDM fans may not agree with the charts though the votes are entirely fan based. Some may say it’s more of a marketing strategy to promote only certain DJs, rather than an organic reflection of taste in music. DJs dump enormous amounts of money into marketing campaigns engineered to get them higher rankings, and a good deal of that money may be channeled to the magazine itself.

The Bottom line is everyone may be having their own views about the charts but we must learn respect true Music and the artists who produce this true form of Music. As an EDM fan I am quite happy with the top 100 DJs rankings, the question is: “Are you?”

Here are my Top10 suggestions for this week: - Enjoy!!
